The UK wing of Aon has appointed Louisa Blain as a Partner in its human capital solutions team. Blain brings more than two decades of experience to the role.

Michael Burke, CEO of Human Capital Solutions at Aon, commented, “Louisa Blain brings a real breadth of knowledge and experience to Aon, both across the financial services field as a whole and specifically of the insurance industry. I am very pleased that she has joined our team and I look forward to her taking Aon’s considerable resources to this sector. I am sure that the benefits of her expertise will soon be seen by many of our clients as they look to build a more resilient workforce.”

As organisations try to attract and retain the right talent to drive their businesses forward, staffing issues have become a top item on senior management’s agenda – and the insurance industry is no exception to that. Blain will now look to help Aon’s clients, providing valuable advice and insights to them as they look to adapt their human resources policies.

Louisa Blain joins Aon UK as Partner

Blain has more than 20 years of experience at international firms, partnering with leading organisations to deliver integrated people & change solutions for their most significant business challenges. She joins Aon after serving with EY for 10 years, chiefly as a Partner in its people advisory team – where she focused on transformation for financial services organisations and for insurance firms in particular.

Prior to this, Blain also held roles at Strategy& – the strategy brand of PwC – and Hewitt Associates. In a role spanning Europe, US and the Middle East, she consulted across the HR agenda on restructuring, change delivery, policy and performance improvement.

The news comes swiftly after Aon announced the recruitment of 16 new partners to its UK global wealth solutions and HCS businesses. Jonathan Craven, Alison Cosadinos, Jane Iannone, Steve Garner, Richard Marles, Karina Klimaszewski, Tom Scott, Louise Wheeler, Dilesh Shah, Susannah Calder, Charlotte Schaller, Nicholas Chambers, Adithi Jagannathan, Alex Cass and Nicholas Yazdani each won promotion across Aon’s British offices.
