Baker Tilly Mooney Moore makes two hires in Belfast

Claire Galloway and Halyna Bondarenko have joined Baker Tilly Mooney Moore, as the professional services firm looks to expand its offering across Northern Ireland. Speaking on the news, Business Services Partner Michael Branniff noted the pair would bring “a wealth of experience” to the firm.

Branniff went on, “It is fantastic to have Claire and Halyna join us here at Baker Tilly Mooney Moore to add value to our services, and we wish them each well for their time here. In today’s challenging economic climate, Claire and Halyna’s knowledge and expertise will help us continue to provide reliable and informed advice to our clients.”

Founded in 1920, Baker Tilly Mooney Moore provides accountancy and business advisory services to clients in the private, public and voluntary sectors. Its services include audit and assurance, taxation, restructuring and insolvency work and business consulting, among others.

Based in Belfast, the company’s business services team services clients across the retail, hospitality, construction, and engineering sectors, amongst others. The move sees it continue to expand following the appointment of Branniff himself, as Partner, who joined Stephen McConnell at the helm of the team in January 2022.

Claire Galloway will head up the dedicated payroll team which provides a full payroll service to clients. She joins from another local mid-tier accountancy practice.

Galloway said, “It is a privilege to be a part of the team at Baker Tilly Mooney Moore. Taking on the position and getting to know the client base has been a welcome new challenge over the past number of weeks. I look forward to getting to know the team further and taking on the opportunities the role will bring my way.”

Halyna Bondarenko meanwhile arrives having previously been an accountant at a distribution business in Ukraine, where she recently moved to Northern Ireland from. In her new role at Baker Tilly Mooney Moore, she will provide a full and dedicated bookkeeping service to clients.

Bondarenko said, “I am thrilled to have joined the busy Business Services Department at Baker Tilly Mooney Moore. The warm welcome from the team has been fantastic and I am very much motivated and inspired by the pace of the role and the colleagues I am working with. We are in a busy time, but I know the wider team will be a great support throughout my time here.”
