Europe’s businesses are enduring a transformative period for their supply chains, with pre-existing conditions having been greatly exacerbated by the pandemic, it has. With geopolitical, economic and environmental crises intensifying, demand for specialist advice for firms to craft their response is booming.

Cushman & Wakefield is a real estate and advisory firm that delivers professional services for occupiers and owners around the world. Among the largest real estate services firms, it boasts approximately 50,000 employees in over 400 offices and 60 countries – and as it prepares for heightened demand for supply chain services from its clients, it has added Michael Carson to that offering.

Tim Crighton, Head of Logistics & Industrial EMEA, Cushman & Wakefield, commented, “Michael sees real estate in the context of supply chain and business impact, where it becomes a critical component in producing margin and driving a successful and sustainable business. Michael’s insight and experience will be a huge benefit to our clients. That is where things get especially interesting for our clients – when location, format and specification create value that goes well beyond simply getting a better deal on a property transaction.”

Cushman & Wakefield offers a full suite of brokerage, occupier services, project and development services, valuation, and capital markets services across the logistics and industrial sector in EMEA. Carson is the latest recruit in the firm’s global supply chain and logistics advisory team, which has been built rapidly, and recently saw counterparts joining to head up activity in the Americas and APAC. He will sit within the firm’s Global Occupier Services business.

Carson noted, “I’m excited to be working with a great team that I have already got to know over the last couple of years. My background is supporting companies in unlocking significant supply chain opportunities across a wide range of sectors from B2B distribution, retail, manufacturing, fashion, to elite sports. I’m looking forward to bringing that expertise to bear on behalf of Cushman & Wakefield’s clients as part of a world class advisory function.”
