KPMG International selects Regina Mayor to lead clients and markets wing

KPMG International has named Regina Mayor as its new Global Head of Clients and Markets. The role will see Mayor focus on leading the organisation’s market solutions services and insights offering, while working in close collaboration with KPMG member firms around the world.

Big Four accounting and advisory brand KPMG is a global organisation, consisting of independent professional services firms providing audit, tax and advisory services. Under the brand KPMG, member firms in 144 countries and territories provide services on behalf of KPMG International, with more than 236,000 partners and employees.

Helping lead this international offering, Regina Mayor has been promoted to KPMG’s Global Management Team. As Global Head of Clients and Markets for KPMG International, Mayor will look to strengthen relationships and support for multi-national clients – drawing on three decades of experience delivering largescale business and technology changes to major companies around the world, to do so.

Commenting on her appointment, Mayor noted, “Today, it finds itself at the heart of the geopolitical challenges CEOs are facing in every part of the world. I’ve spent more than two decades in an industry that has witnessed its fair share of highs and lows.”

Citing a “period of great uncertainty,” Mayor argued that identifying risks and opportunities for the business community has never been more important. Looking ahead, she intends to help clients chart “a long-term course for recovery and a return to sustainable growth.”

Previously Global Head of Energy and Natural Resources with KPMG, Mayor is an globally renowned as a thought leader on the energy challenges and opportunities facing the planet today. This is something which is especially relevant at present, as KPMG’s clients begin the transition to net zero operations.

“My new role enables me to bring that experience and insight to a broad spectrum of industries, member firms and clients on a global scale,” Mayor added. “KPMG has a network of some of the brightest, most experienced people across a diverse range of disciplines. We’re in a strong position to really help business leaders ride out the raft of challenges they’re facing today and look toward the future with confidence and resilience.”

Regina is joined on the GMT by three other new appointments. Lisa Heneghan takes on the role ofGlobal Chief Digital Officer – having recently helped launch the new KPMG Products line; while Paul Korolkiewicz becomes Global Head of Quality for Risk & Regulatory; and Gary Wingrove is named Global Chief Operating Officer.
