OnePLM, one of the larger partners for Siemens Digital Industries in the UK & Ireland, has been acquired by private equity firm Holland Capital. OnePLM is teaming up with fellow digital transformation-focused portfolio companies Magnus Digital, Dimensys, Cards PLM Solutions and Appronto.

“The acquisition of OnePLM is, after the bundling of several of our portfolio companies into a consortium in February this year, the next step in our buy-and-build strategy. This further strengthens the group’s leading position within the digital transformation consulting and solutions landscape,” said Ewout Prins, Managing Partner at Holland Capital.

The addition of OnePLM adds a team of over 100 professionals, lifting the headcount of the five companies to around 420 staff. They focus on a range of digital services, including product lifecycle- and asset management, IT architecture, low-code applications, system integration and process optimisation.

OnePLM is based just outside of Oxford and specialises in product lifecycle- and asset management services. The firm provides consultancy, engineering, software and training services to the manufacturing industry.

Originally founded as Cutting Edge Solutions, OnePLM adopted its current brand in 2019, shortly after the acquisitions of Majenta (2018) and TEAM Engineering (2019).

“This joining of forces contributes to the vision of playing an important role in the digital transformation of the manufacturing industry which is also known as ‘Industry 4.0’, using Siemens, SAP, Mendix and Boomi technologies,” said Peter-Jan Simons, CEO of the five-strong consortium.

“The Siemens product lifecycle- and asset management expertise of OnePLM boosts our Siemens operations in Europe, and takes our partnership with Siemens to the next level.”

The largest of the consortium, Mganus Digital, has been part of Holland Capital’s portfolio since November 2020. In January 2021 Dimensys and Cards PLM Solutions joined the line-up. Appronto has been on board since February this year.

Meanwhile, for OnePLM the deal will enable the firm to accelerate its ambition to become “the most complete Siemens Digital Industries partner for manufactures in Western Europe”, and also broaden its services to other areas such as low code and SAP, “which will enable us to support the full digital transformation spectrum,” said Mark Parry, Managing Director at OnePLM.

Allan Blackwell, CEO of OnePLM, added: “Joining this consortium will significantly increase our capabilities and coverage and which will benefit our customers, staff and Siemens equally.”
