Mott MacDonald boosts UK aviation team with 2 experts

Mott MacDonald has strengthened its UK aviation capabilities by promoting David Beare to the role of Divisional Director. In addition, the team has been boosted by the hire of Alan Regan, who joins as a Projects Director to its UK Aviation Business.

David Beare has been with Mott MacDonald since 2008, starting out as an Associate Director in the firm’s Aviation practice and leading the aviation sector team for more than three years. In 2009, concurrent to his work in Aviation, Beare was a Principal Transaction Advisor, in the firm’s Investment and Transaction advisory team. In 2014 he took on the role of Head of Transaction and Business Advisory for the firm’s Aviation Sector, alongside taking on the role of Business Development Director. Prior to joining Mott MacDonald, Beare worked for Needlemans, starting in 2002 as an Assistant Cost & Commercial Manager to EDF Energy, before being promoted in 2004 to the role of Lead Cost Manager to T5 Systems – a role he held for four years.

Beare holds a Bachelor degree in Economics from the University of Birmingham, as well as an ACMA and FCMA from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Alan Regan started his career in 1991 at Bilfinger + Berger UK from 1991, working for the firm for more than four years in several roles, including Senior Engineer, Planner, Estimator and Design Co-ordinator. In 1996 he joined the Airport Authority Hong Kong as a Planner in Operational Readiness, leaving in 1998 to join Vector Management as a Senior Aviation Consultant & Project Manager. In 2006 Regan moved on to Buro Happold as a Technical Director in Aviation. In 2011 he joined AECOM where he worked as the firm’s Technical Director in Aviation, until becoming an independent consultant in 2014.

Regan holds a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from the University College Cork.

Beare has been promoted to the role of Divisional Director for aviation at Mott MacDonald, and his many years of experience in aviation will be committed to provide leadership to the UK aviation business. In the role, he will be responsible for business development and coordination the businesses development within the sector globally. Regan will leverage his more than 20 years of experience in aviation for the consultancy, taking on the role of Projects Director.
