Andy Lyon joins NSCG as Partner
Human resources advisory specialist New Street Consulting Group has welcomed Andy Lyon as a Partner in its talent consulting wing. His arrival comes alongside seven other new hires, including three directors.
Headquartered in London, New Street Consulting Group (NSCG) identifies itself as a “people advisory firm”, which assists organisations with finding, assessing, and growing teams, and leadership. The consulting firm’s talent consulting, executive search, talent intelligence and operations teams work across NSCG’s London and Leeds offices, as well as its recently opened Manchester office, with clients across all industries.
The UK’s labour market has tightened drastically in recent years, so consulting services supporting human resources departments are in keen demand at presence. As NSCG looks to meet the changing needs of its clients, it has committed to an ambitious expansion plan – which has most recently manifested itself in an external partner hire.
Andy Lyon joins NSCG as a Partner, bringing 30 years of experience in the consulting and HR sector to the firm. He is an expert in helping leaders manage transformation within their organisations. Bringing Big Four pedigree from stints with PwC, KPMG and Deloitte – where he was a Director – Lyon spent the last decade as Partner and Co-founder at Blacklight Advisory. Looking ahead, he will take on the challenge of building a new culture change consulting practice within NSCG.
Commenting on the move, Lyon said via LinkedIn, “The tide is right for a new quest, with bright new opportunities and an exciting new tribe. I want to say how grateful I am to those of you who have been our supporters along the way. I wouldn't swap those experiences or the relationships for all the tea in China. However, it's time to say goodbye to Blacklight, and hello to a new adventure. Let's hope it’s one hell of a ride.
Lyon’s arrival coincides with seven more hires for NSCG. This sees Dan Harden and Katie Howard join NSCG’s executive search team as Directors, bringing over 40 years of experience recruiting leading talent between them. Meanwhile, Manchester-based Tom Dempster arrives at the same rank in NSCG’s talent consulting wing, bringing organisational development insight with him gleaned during four years with City Football Group – owners of Premier League champions Manchester City FC.
Principal Consultant Rianne Silvey becomes part of the firm’s talent consulting team, and is a certified coach through the Academy of Executive Coaching. Meanwhile, in NSCG’s talent intelligence team, Senior Consultant Jack Evans, Data Analytics Consultant Christopher Dutoy and Researcher Georgia Cooper-Taylor grow its ranks further.
Doug Baird, CEO, commented, “We’re experiencing strong demand from leaders and organisations who are addressing changing ways of working and finding recruitment and talent strategy increasingly competitive and employee-led. Expanding our team enables us to continue to meet this growing demand and our clients are already benefiting through the enhanced depth of expertise we have in-house.”
