Liam Colley joins Cornerstone Research's London office
Cornerstone Research has announced that Liam Colley is joining the firm’s London office. Colley will bolster the firm’s global antitrust and competition practice as a Senior Vice President, while he will also lead its European competition practice.
Professional services firm Cornerstone Research provides economic and financial consulting and expert testimony in all phases of complex litigation and regulatory proceedings. With over 700 staff and offices in Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Washington D.C., and London, the company has become a leading provider of economic and financial consulting and expert testimony.
As Cornerstone strengthens its antitrust and competition capabilities, Liam Colley brings more than 25 years of experience as a consultant and testifying expert. He has worked cases across a wide range of sectors, notably automotive, financial services, insurance, and technology, media and telecom. He specialises in competition, antitrust damages and economic regulation issues.
Colley has served as a testifying expert before the UK High Court and the UK Competition Appeal Tribunal (CAT) on both antitrust damages matters and regulatory appeals, and is affiliated with the Association of Competition Economics and the British Institute of International and Comparative Law. Before joining Cornerstone Research, he headed the economics consulting practice at AlixPartners.
Greg Leonard, head of the Cornerstone Research London office, said, “It is a distinct pleasure to welcome Liam to Cornerstone Research and to our outstanding London team. His demonstrated leadership and dedication to excellence will be major assets, both to our deeply collaborative culture and to the high-quality support we deliver to our clients.”
As a Senior Vice President in Cornerstone’s global antitrust and competition practice, Colley will draw on his knowhow estimating damages in a competition litigation context, as well as his work addressing class action issues in abuse of dominance cases. Meanwhile, as Head of the European competition practice, he will rely on expertise from consulting on a range of competition matters before the European Commission, national competition authorities, regulators and courts.
Colley said of his new role, “This is an exciting time to be joining Cornerstone Research. The firm has long been recognised globally for its rigorous analysis in high-profile antitrust and competition matters. I look forward to working with exceptional colleagues and contributing to the ongoing growth and success of the firm.”
