L.E.K. Consulting installs Peter Ward as head of London office
Global strategy consulting firm L.E.K. Consulting has installed Peter Ward as the new leader of its London office.
Peter Ward has been with L.E.K. Consulting since 2000, when he joined the consultancy after obtaining his Master in Mathematics from the University of Oxford. Over two decades on, he now becomes the firm’s first person to go from being an Associate to holding the top office role.
The position sees him lead one of L.E.K. Consulting’s largest offices worldwide. London was the first office to be established when the firm was founded in 1983, and today, the office is also one of the most diverse, with people from 30 different nationalities based in London.
During his career with the firm, Ward’s primary focus has been corporate strategy development, complemented by substantial experience in commercial due diligence (both buy side and sell side), commercial bid support and litigation support. He also has significant expertise in performance measurement and incentivisation, both within organisations and across contractual boundaries.
His sector expertise focuses on regulated industries, principally financial services (with a focus on debt management, insurance, retail banking and specialist lending). He also has completed projects in the retail, consumer goods, transport, healthcare, government, and industrial sectors.
A few years ago, Ward was recognised as one of the UK credit industry’s most influential people, having been named by Credit Strategy in the Knowledge and Professional Services category of the Credit 500, an index of the sector’s most influential individuals.
Ward reports into Ben Faircloth, a London-based partner who leads the firm’s five offices in Europe – in London, Paris, Madrid, Wroclaw and Munich. Globally, the consultancy is led by Clay Heskett.
