Rahoel Patel joins BDO as Partner in London
Professional services firm BDO has strengthened its financial services team with the appointment of a new partner. Rahoel Patel brings with him more than a decade of experience, including work for a Big Four firm.
As it looks to meet with heightened demand, BDO has appointed nine external individuals as partners across the firm in 2022. With financial services firms operating within increasingly complex regulatory environments, clients in the sector are currently requiring more regular advisory expertise, meaning five of these hires have been dedicated financial services partners.
As the fifth of these hires, Patel joins the firm’s transaction services team, with a focus on the financial services sector. Patel’s role at BDO will see him work alongside a range of financial services businesses, including wealth and asset managers, insurers and banks.
Paul Eagland, Managing Partner at BDO, commented, “Rahoel brings a great deal of experience with him and I have no doubt he’ll be a valuable addition to our transactions services and financial services teams.”
Joining BDO’s London office, Patel’s CV boasts over 15 years’ experience of advising both corporate clients and private equity houses on transactions across the UK, Europe and US. This included a spell with Big Four advisory and accounting firm EY.
Commenting on his appointment, Patel noted, “Financial services firms have been faced with a number of unprecedented challenges over the last few years as a result of Brexit, the pandemic and other geopolitical factors. Despite this, the sector has remained resilient and deal activity has been strong. I’m looking forward to working with the growing team at BDO and advising more ambitious FS businesses to help them succeed.”
