Hitachi Consulting adds complete cloud solution offering
Legacy systems have, for many organisations, become a headache to deal with. In a bid to provide an answer to the issue of transforming organisational IT systems to today’s best solutions, Hitachi Consulting has created a complete solution for migration to SaaS, PaaS and legacy coexistence by managing the integrated Enterprise Cloud for its clients.
Legacy systems and siloed IT systems can cause considerable issues for companies seeking to upgrade their digital infrastructure to include capabilities in omni-channel experiences for customers and clients, create more cyber-secure product offerings, or leverage big data. A number of solutions have been developed by industry players, many of which are cloud-based, including BearingPoint’s ERP service, Capgemini’s cloud banking offering and off the shelf banking solutions, among others.
Joining the list of solutions being developed is Hitachi Consulting’s fully-integrated Hitachi Consulting Enterprise Cloud framework. The solution, according to the firm, is set to provide a complete IT package to allow companies to manage their IT applications portfolio through a single cloud service – thereby becoming ‘clickable enterprises’.
The new offering is designed to completely bundle the IT environment of an organisation, whether on-premises or SaaS – including applications, integration to third-party systems and managed services – as a single package. The aim of the service is to provide a complete solution that, unlike many other vendors that are providing fractured public, private and hybrid cloud solutions for legacy transformations. The service says it will “take the complexity out of how companies can transform and migrate to SaaS, PaaS, and legacy coexistence by managing the integrated Enterprise Cloud for them, no matter where they are on their cloud journey.”
“Organisations can now purchase the infrastructure, software, deployment and management services, and ancillary solutions as a bundle from one source by way of subscription-based pricing,” explains Jim Cole, Hitachi Consulting Senior Vice-President of Cloud Solutions. “We plan to deliver standardised modular offerings – think of them as building blocks – with fixed pricing. Think ‘small, medium and large offerings’, with the ability to tailor to each company’s unique needs.”
“The proliferation of cloud technology and applications has made managing enterprise IT portfolios more complex, not less”, adds Phil Regnault, Hitachi Consulting Senior Vice-President, Technology Solutions. “Our aim is help simplify the management of that portfolio and give our clients and their end users a consistent Hitachi Consulting Cloud Experience regardless of the underlying technology.”
