Ayming welcomes England's netball captain Serena Guthrie

Innovation consultancy Ayming, has announced the appointment of netball international Serena Guthrie. Captain of the England team, Guthrie said she was “thrilled to join Ayming at such an exciting time for its UK business.”

She continued, “Ayming's approach to people consulting, focusing on the individual and their role as a team, fits quite naturally with my own."

A storied netball career has produced numerous highs for Serena Guthrie. Most notably, she won a gold medal in 2011 World Netball Series and was an influential contributor to England's gold medal successes at the 2017 Fast5 Netball World Series and 2018 Commonwealth Games. With over 100 caps for her country, she was appointed captain of England Netball in November 2018.

As an elite athlete, an Ayming release stated Guthrie “has an instinctive approach to coaching people”, and will be well suited in her new role as a Special Advisor and Coach within Ayming’s people, performance & development (PPD) business.

The PPD operation is a branch of the consultancy that helps businesses to motivate and support its staff and enable growth. Alongside PPD Partner Scott Ward in this role, Guthrie will spearhead new initiatives with a vision to improving personal and team performances across the firm.

Ward commented, "I've known Serena for several years now and am excited to welcome her to the team. She brings a wealth of experience operating at an elite level. Serena will be a fantastic asset to our clients, supporting us with people coaching, high performing teams, ED&I, and culture change. The Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games will take place from 28th July to 8th August 2022, with the netball action taking place from Friday 29th July to Sunday 7th August 2022 at the NEC, Birmingham. England Netball will begin the defence of its gold medal in the first match of the tournament.
