FRA promotes Gordon Macleod and Weng Yee Ng to partner

International specialist consultancy Forensic Risk Alliance (FRA) has promoted two of its London-based team members to partner: Gordon Macleod and Weng Yee Ng. 

Gordon Macleod has over two decades of financial markets experience and is a recognised expert in investigating and remediating control failures in the context of capital markets, complex valuations and risk, fair value accounting, due diligence and data control. He has been with Forensic Risk Alliance since 2017. Before that, he spent around two decades in the banking sector. 

He has served as an expert witness on several occasions, the most recent being in ABN Amro versus Royal & Sun Alliance. Macleod also recently provided ability-to-pay analysis to Petrofac in its penalty negotiations with the UK Serious Fraud Office following its guilty plea to seven bribery offenses. 

Weng Yee Ng has been with Forensic Risk Alliance since 2013, when she joined from KPMG, where she spent eight years working from the firm’s London and Kuala Lumpur offices. She specialises in investigations, litigation support (both civil and criminal), risk assessments, compliance reviews, FCPA monitorships for both the US Department of Justice and US Securities and Exchange Commission, procurement fraud matters and third-party and M&A due diligence.

Het track record includes being part of the FRA team supporting Airbus in a multi-year forensic accounting and eDiscovery review within the context of the company’s multinational investigation, reporting to the UK Serious Fraud Office, the US Department of Justice, the US Department of State and French Parquet National Financier.
