Strategy firm EY-Parthenon has announced the appointment of John Cooper and Laura Higgins as partners in its UK wing. The move comes as the consultancy responds to growing demand from its clients.

Matt Robb, Lead Partner at EY-Parthenon Strategy, said, “We are delighted to welcome John and Laura to the EY-Parthenon team. EY-Parthenon is Big Four firm EY’s global strategy consulting arm. It has been growing strongly in the last year, as clients look to it to help build a business strategy to make the most of the coming economic recovery.

John Cooper joins EY-Parthenon’s Transaction Strategy and Execution team from PA Consulting, bringing three decades of experience in supporting leading global companies in the consumer sector. He also was formerly a Senior Partner with Kearney. In his new role, he will continue to help clients create sustainable competitive advantage through their strategic and operational transformation.

Cooper commented, “The consumer sector is facing a perfect storm of disruption including increasing consumer, environmental and economic demands and ever more complex channels and new business models. I’m thrilled to be part of EY-Parthenon’s market leading team and look forward to supporting clients tackle these challenges and seize the opportunities ahead of them.”

Laura Higgins meanwhile joins from EY’s Big Four rival KPMG, bringing with her a breadth of global experience and functional expertise. She is also the former Head of Pricing & Commercial Strategy UKI for Accenture, and has worked in challenging and complex B2B environments where she specialised in supporting clients realise value. In her new role, she will focus on expanding EY-Parthenon’s new Demand Strategy Practice. The team will provide clients with an end-to-end transformation solution, covering go-to-market strategy, pricing and profit optimisation, sales effectiveness, brand valuation, marketing, digital and customer centric transformation.

Higgins added, “With increased competition and the blurring of traditional sector lines, supporting our clients to focus on profitable growth has never been more critical.
