International consultancy North Highland has installed a new global Chief Executive Officer. Alex Bombeck takes on the role having previously been Managing Director and Group President at the firm.

North Highland is a global management consulting firm known for helping clients solve their most complex challenges related to customer experience, performance improvement, technology and digital, and transformation. Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, the US origin firm has more than 2,800 consultants and over 65 offices around the globe. It is also member of Cordence Worldwide, a global management consulting alliance.

As North Highland builds for a busy 2022, its new Chief Executive Officer has taken office. Previously the firm's managing director and group president, Alex Bombeck has succeeded Dan Reardon, following his move to Executive Chair of the Board – having spent 17 years as CEO.

Reardon said of his successor, "Through the many roles Alex has had over the years at North Highland, he's shown he has what it takes to lead us in this ever-changing environment. His background, his consulting expertise and the unique perspective he brings, give me complete confidence that he is the right choice to be CEO. He's a visionary leader who is also committed to our people enabling others to reach their full potential."

Bombeck takes the helm as North Highland prepares to celebrate its 30th anniversary, this April, while continuing to renew its focus on helping clients transform and adapt to the post-pandemic working world. In order to do that, Bombeck has announced the firm is strengthening its own flexible working offering, as it looks to attract the best talent available to meet its clients’ needs.

Speaking on the firm's strategy, Bombeck said, "Our firm approaches flexibility with intentionality. We create a framework that empowers the workforce and offers them the guardrails to drive toward shared enterprise goals. We've always been the opposite of businesses that are hardwired to do things in a certain way. So, we are uniquely positioned to help clients strike the right balance between adaptability and structure to keep up with today's climate of always-on transformation."

The new CEO arrives in the role with more than 25 years of experience helping enterprises transform their organisational and operational processes. Prior to joining North Highland, Bombeck served as Chief Digital Officer at Havas Worldwide and senior roles at a number of other professional services firms.

Loretta Penn, North Highland Lead Director and Board Member, added, "On behalf of the Board, I enthusiastically welcome Alex to his new position. He does a superb job of instilling high standards and a collaborative culture and will lead North Highland forward as an outstanding transformation consultancy that embraces diversity in every form."
