Iona McCall and John Miles become managing directors at AlixPartners

AlixPartners has announced a round of 15 managing director promotions. In the UK this saw Iona McCall and John Miles elevated to the position.

Founded in 1981, AlixPartners is headquartered in New York and has offices in more than 20 cities around the world. The global consulting firm specialises in helping businesses successfully address their most complex and critical challenges. Its clients include companies, corporate boards, law firms, investment banks, private equity firms, and others.

As the firm prepares for a busy 2022, AlixPartners has promoted a number of experts across its international practices. As clients look to pivot their businesses to respond to sustainability demands, supply chain issues and the pandemic, these new managing directors will be crucial in supplying advice, or helping them solve costly, ongoing disputes.

Iona McCall and John Miles become managing directors at AlixPartners

Iona McCall has become a Managing Director in AlixPartners’ London wing, as part of its investigations, disputes and risk/economics team. A competition economist with almost 20 years of experience in advising clients on competition and regulatory matters, she has wide experience estimating damages in the context of both group claims and CPOs. Recent cases include trucks, forex, and automotive bearings. Iona has also advised clients in complex market investigations including secondary ticketing, credit reference agencies and loan syndication. McCall is also a founding member of the leading women’s antitrust network

John Miles meanwhile is a performance improvement expert, also based in London. The new Managing Director has 20 years of experience in the TMT industry, working in financial planning and operational roles and providing strategic advice to clients as a consultant. Miles has led both large-scale transformation programmes and strategic reviews of business models, market positioning, internal capabilities, and operational performance. Prior to joining AlixPartners, he spent 10 years as a consultant at Booz & Company working for TMT clients across Europe, US and Asia.
