Mazars appoints Jenny Birch as Audit Partner
International audit, tax and advisory firm Mazars has installed Jenny Birch as Partner in its Birmingham office. Office Managing Partner Ian Holder suggested the move “reflects the importance of this region to Mazars’ national network”.
“It’s a pleasure to welcome Jenny to our growing team in Birmingham,” Holder added. “Her extensive experience in working alongside Midlands-based large and listed entities will be hugely beneficial to our audit team and clients. I am thrilled to be working alongside our accomplished new partners, Jenny, Elisa and Jim, and delivering quality for our clients.”
Birch will focus on growing the Mazars’ Midlands practice. As a Partner specialising in audit, her work will place a particular emphasis on bringing the best of Mazars’ quality and expertise to the firm’s existing and future Public Interest Entity clients.
Commenting on her appointment via a personal LinkedIn post, Birch said, “This is a really exciting time within the audit industry and Mazars, in operating as a united partnership, working as one integrated team, can leverage expertise, scale and cultural understanding globally to deliver exceptional, high quality and tailored services in audit and accounting. I’m very much looking forward to contributing to that growth story.”
Bringing 20 years of Big Four experience to Mazars, Birch has a wealth of large corporate and listed audit knowhow to draw upon. With PwC and EY, she has audited companies in the FTSE 100, FTSE 250 and AIM, together with global private and private equity-backed businesses in the Midlands over the last two decades. Most recently, she was an Audit Senior with PwC.
The arrival of Birch is Mazars’ third appointment of a new partner in Birmingham in recent weeks. She joins fellow Audit Partner Elisa Howe, and Technology & Digital Partner Jim Dolan as the latest additions to the professional services firm’s Midlands practice.
