Mazars appoints two partners in Birmingham office
Elisa Howe has joined Mazars as a Partner in its audit wing, while Jim Dolan joins as Partner in the firm’s digital team. Ian Holder, Office Managing Partner, welcomed the pair to the Birmingham hub, which Mazars moved into earlier in 2021.
Holder added, “It’s a pleasure to welcome Elisa and Jim to our rapidly growing team… These appointments underscore our ongoing commitment to growing our Technology & Digital offering, and our services for privately owned businesses, while ensuring we continue to provide the highest quality service to our clients.”
International accounting and advisory firm Mazars recently commenced a lease in a state-of-the-art space at Two Chamberlain Square, in the heart of the landmark Paradise Birmingham development – a place popular with some of the biggest professional services firms in the UK. Since then, the firm has gone from strength to strength, according to Holder, necessitating the expansion of its expert team to meet demand.
Elisa Howe joins Mazars from Cooper Parry, and will be responsible for driving further growth with privately owned business clients in the Midlands and across the UK. She has an extensive network across the Midlands, having worked in the region throughout her career, and has particular expertise in the automotive sector.
Taking to LinkedIn following her onboarding at Mazars, Howe noted in a post with more than 400 engagements, “Today was my first day walking into my new role and this amazing office! I'm really excited about being able to work with Mazars and the incredible team here, and love working in Birmingham!”
Jim Dolan meanwhile joins the team from KPMG, where he was technology enablement managing director. He will focus on growing and developing Mazars’ fast growing technology and digital practice which has doubled in size over the last year across the UK, with a particular emphasis on the financial services sector. He brings more than 30 years of experience in providing strategic advice to clients on business digital transformation.
In his own post on LinkedIn, Dolan stated, “I was tremendously excited to be travelling to Birmingham today… to take up my new role as a Partner at Mazars. I turn half a century next year and half of my life has now been spent perfecting this craft. I have a LOT of people to thank for building to this opportunity.”
