Henry Pocock becomes Partner with FRP Advisory
Consulting firm FRP Advisory has appointed Henry Pocock as Partner in its Birmingham office. COO Jeremy French noted the new hire “reinforces our commitment to the market and will enable us to continue to deliver high quality services to clients across the UK.”
With 510 people, including 78 partners, operating from 22 offices across England and Scotland, FRP Advisory is one of the UK’s largest independent business advisory firms specialising in corporate restructuring, corporate finance, forensic services, pensions advisory and debt advisory. As many firms face insolvency amid the current economic uncertainty, demand is only increasing for the firm’s forensic offering.
French added, “As organisations continue to return to business-as-usual post-Covid we’re now seeing increased demand for specialist forensic support, in relation to both an increase in disputes and a very busy period for transactions. Our national forensic services offering continues to go from strength to strength and with experience in leading large, complex cases, in addition to growing a practice from the ground-up, Henry is the perfect candidate to lead the growth of our team in the West Midlands.”
Specialising in complex forensic accounting cases Pocock joins from EY, where he was an Associate Partner in the Big Four firm’s forensic and integrity services practice. He also has extensive experience leading the forensic accounting aspects of acquisitions and disposals.
Speaking on his new role, Pocock stated, “FRP is an entrepreneurially spirited business and the investment in its forensic services offering over the last few years is a clear sign of its ambitions to continue to build a market-leading, national team that can provide the highest level of service to its clients in every region. The opportunity to establish a team in the West Midlands is one I am very much looking forward to.”
Pocock’s appointment reflects a year of investment for FRP’s forensic services team. The team is now 27-strong, having been bolstered by the acquisition of Walton Dodge Forensic, and his role will include expanding this further to establish a specialist team in the West Midlands. The team was also boosted by several recent promotions which include Graeme Freeland and Molly Sandquest to Senior Manager, and Tom Arnold to Manager.
