Vinay Torani and Joseph Mevorah join Navigant in US
Vinay Torani and Joseph Mevorah have joined Navigant’s Valuation & Financial Risk Management Practice in the US as Managing Director and Director respectively.
Prior to joining Navigant, Torani worked at Duff & Phelps, a global valuation and corporate finance advisor, for more than ten years – leaving the firm as a Managing Director. Between 2003 and 2005, Torani worked at Standard & Poor's CVC as a Manager, before which he served for almost two years as a Vice-President at Ambit Corporate Finance, a Mumbai-based corporate finance boutique. His professional services experience also includes more than six years with PwC, where he worked his way to the position of Manager.
Torani takes on the role of Managing Director in Navigant’s Valuation & Financial Risk Management Practice in New York, boosting the firm’s expertise in M&A transactions, tax and financial reporting. In his new role he will be working across the healthcare, industrial products, not-for-profit, technology and telecommunications sectors, as well as publicly-traded and private companies in the life sciences.
Mevorah joins Navigant from Houlihan Lokey, where he spent the past two years as a Managing Director. Between 2007 and 2012 he worked at Gleacher & Company, where he founded and managed the firm’s Financial Institutions Group. Starting in 2005, Mevorah was a Director at Macquarie Securities, following a move from Moody's KMV, where he began in 2003 as the Director of the firm’s Client Services. His professional services experience was built up over a seven year period at PwC, where he worked as Director for the firm’s Global Securitization Strategies practice. Prior to the Big Four giant he worked at Lehman Brothers for five years, and worked at Security Pacific Merchant Bank for four years as Vice-President.
Mevorah takes on the role of Director in Navigant’s Valuation & Financial Risk Management Practice. He brings in more than 20 years of experience in commercial banking and financial advisory, and will, in his new role strengthen Navigant’s offering to clients in the area of M&A advisory, fairness opinions, business valuation, strategy and regulatory advisory.
