Matt Field has extensive experience in providing corporate, personal and transaction tax advice to owner-managed businesses on a wide range of issues, including MBOs, trade disposals, private equity investment, and employee ownership trusts. Other areas of his expertise include family investment companies, share/employee incentive schemes, and group reorganisations including demergers.

Ryan Symonds joined FRP in 2020 and provides specialist advice across a full spectrum of corporate finance matters including trade disposals, acquisitions, private equity investments, management buyouts and strategic options reviews. Symonds has particular knowledge of private equity structures.

Matt Whitchurch is a qualified accountant with many years’ experience working on restructuring and transaction services assignments across a wide range of industries. Whitchurch, who has been with FRP since 2018, has experience with undertaking independent business reviews, short-term cash flow reviews, options reviews, merger and acquisition engagements, and managing formal insolvency appointments.

Stuart Sweeney joined FRP this year and is based in the firm’s London West End office. Before joining FRP, he was an Associate Director for a boutique advisory firm, and held various roles at two major banks. Having worked in the industry since 2012, Sweeney has extensive experience in the field, with a focus on the leveraged finance segment.

Commenting on the promotions, Jeremy French, Chief Operations Officer at FRP, said: “These promotions not only recognise the hard work and commitment that they have put in over the last 12 months, but also the contribution they have made in driving the business forward, growing our advisory services, supporting fellow colleagues and preserving and recovering value for clients.”

The promotions follow a landmark year for FRP, which has grown in headcount by 22 per cent nationally through organic growth and the acquisition of Spectrum Corporate Finance in March 2021. Today, the firm employs more than 500 consultants and staff across its network of 22 offices.
