Richard Pulford and Rebecca Rennison join EY’s M&A team
EY has appointed Richard Pulford and Rebecca Rennison to its corporate finance team in the North of England. Mark Clephan, Corporate Finance Partner at EY in the North, said the two arrivals “bring a wealth of experience in M&A space.”
Noting that the senior appointments can help EY build on the practice’s successes of the past few years, Clephan added, “Our continued significant investment in senior talent reflects not only EY’s ambition in the North but also our confidence in the long-term outlook for the regional economy.”
Richard Pulford is a noted M&A industry figure in the region, having been named North West Dealmaker of the Year at the North West Business Insider’s awards ceremony in 2013. In his 25-year career, he has advised on over 100 completed transactions, worth over £7 billion. Pulford joins EY from DC Advisory, where he spent 13 years growing and leading the firm’s North West team. Prior to that, he also spent 11 years in PwC’s corporate finance team across London and Manchester.
Rebecca Rennison meanwhile brings over 20 years of M&A experience to EY, having worked across large private equity and international strategic trade transactions. Like Pulford, Rennison is also a Big Four alumnus, having previously led the PwC Yorkshire corporate finance team. Prior to that she was a Managing Director in Investment Banking at Raymond James in Canada, where she worked for 15 years.
EY’s corporate finance consultants help corporates, private equity, governments, sovereign wealth funds, private and family businesses, and educational institutions with their key financial issues. Pulford and Rennison will work together with Clephan to lead EY’s corporate finance team in the North of England, as it continues its ambition to become the leading practice in the region.
