Simon Livings to lead Interpath's digital centre of excellence
Interpath Advisory has appointed Simon Livings as a Director and Head of its new Digital Centre of Excellence.
“The creation of a Digital Centre of Excellence adds further firepower to our existing advisory capabilities,” explained Mark Raddan, Head of Advisory at Interpath.
“For our clients, it’s about harnessing the power of data and predictive analytics to make better-informed decisions about their performance, ultimately so they can protect and enhance value. For our people, Simon’s knowledge and expertise will undoubtedly help to broaden and sharpen their own data processing skills.”
Interpath is an independent financial advisory business with a broad range of specialisms that helps organisations facing challenge or opportunity to navigate what’s next. The group advises companies, lenders, equity holders and a wide range of other stakeholders including Government, regulators and pension trustees to navigate the issues and opportunities associated with economic disruption and to overcome financial and operational challenges.
With businesses looking to transform their digital operations in response to market disruption, many are finding they need a strong, structured team to lead the charge – in other words, a Digital Centre of Excellence. With the launch of its own such Centre, Interpath will work to enhance the firm’s existing suite of advisory services, including end-to-end profitability, working capital management, cash flow forecasting, due diligence and financial modelling, through the leveraging of advanced data and predictive analytics.
In his new role at Interpath, Simon Livings will build and lead the firm’s new Digital Centre of Excellence. The Director will also support the training and development of Interpath’s 550-strong team, as well as working with Interpath’s internal technology specialists, to help further broaden analytical skills across the business.
Livings remarked, “Over the years, I have always been struck by how analytically-minded and innovative the team at Interpath has been, and so I’m delighted to come on board to help develop the firm’s core services by leveraging technology and analytics to their fullest potential. Throughout my career, my passion has always been working at the coalface alongside clients, helping them to resolve any issues they have and create better business outcomes.”
Continuing its links to its Big Four origins, Livings joins Interpath from KPMG. He was with the firm for eight years, and latterly led the firm’s data and analytics team across its National Markets practice. Before that, he spent over 12 years at EY as a Director in its business modelling team. Over the course of these engagements, he has accrued a wealth of experience working on M&A, refinancing and restructuring deals, Enterprise Performance Management, planning and forecasting modelling, as well as advanced and predictive analytics.
Interpath was formerly KPMG’s UK restructuring practice. A deal with private equity firm H.I.G. Europe saw the practice gain independence earlier in 2021, with the £400 million carve-out creating the largest independent corporate turnaround firm in Britain.
