One Minute to Midnight adds George Clapp to London team
Global market research and insight consultancy One Minute to Midnight has announced appointments on either side of the Atlantic. In the UK, this has seen the firm name George Clapp as a Research Manager in its London office.
Founded in 2016, One Minute to Midnight is a global market research and consulting firm. The firm has locations in New York and London, from which it supports businesses in sectors such as sport, travel, FMCG, ecommerce and entertainment. Recent projects it has been involved in have included supporting PlayStation with positioning its leading titles, and helping social media titan TikTok understand its radically changing audience.
As the firm looks to build its capabilities, One Minute to Midnight has been recruiting in London. Earlier in the autumn, this saw Emily Hoong join as a Research Manager, to help the consultancy build on its earlier success to grow its international client base. Now, the firm has followed this up, with another Research Manager hire.
George Clapp joins the London office with agency experience of working in market research for diverse sectors such as technology, FMCG and insurance. He spent the last three years with LRWTonic, also serving latterly as a Research Manager.
The move sees Clapp and One Minute to Midnight extend a relationship from earlier in the year. During some project work Clapp did with the firm on a freelance basis, he “noticed an openness to challenges and new ideas which brings out the best in me, and the agency’s focus on personal growth matched my own aspirations.”
Commenting on joining in a full-time capacity, Clapp said, “I’ve always been especially motivated by the human aspect of market research. Understanding people first to inform how the services and products they use can impact them is what drives my curiosity, so One Minute to Midnight’s human-first approach was the perfect fit for me.”
The appointment coincides with another in the company’s New York office. Dianna Feng joins as a Senior Research Manager, having previously worked as a Senior Insight Manager across major pharmaceutical companies on global marketing initiatives, as well as with non-profits such as Project Last Mile and USAID.
Douglas Dunn, Co-Founder, One Minute to Midnight remarked on both arrivals, “We’re so excited to welcome Dianna and George to our growing teams in New York and London. Our human-first approach to delivering insights for our clients and to our people is resonating during the recruitment process too, ensuring we get the bravest, most creative, compassionate and effective talent to take them and ourselves to new heights. We’re looking forward to seeing Dianna and George help our clients drive forward business growth and we can’t wait to help our new team members to grow professionally.”
