Accenture buys cloud service provider Cloud Sherpas
Accenture has acquired cloud services provide Cloud Sherpas for an undisclosed sum. The 1,100 staff from the US-based Cloud Sherpas will join Accenture’s newly created Accenture Cloud First Applications team.
Founded in 2008, Cloud Sherpas is an Atlanta-headquartered global technology and advisory services company. The company provides cloud based services, with specialisation in Google, Salesforce and ServiceNow, solutions to companies looking to manage their customer relationships and streamline their IT processes. Since its founding, the company has enjoyed rapid growth, today employing 1,100 staff across offices in the US, Australia, India, Japan, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, UEA and the UK.
To strengthen its position as a leading provider of cloud based services proposition to clients seeking cloud based solutions, Accenture has acquired Cloud Sherpas. The acquisition combines Accenture’s strength in cloud strategy and technology consulting with Cloud Sherpas’ strength in cloud application implementation, integration and management services.
The deal sees Cloud Sherpas’ employees join the newly created Accenture Cloud First Applications team. This team will continue to deliver Sherpas’ cloud services, including for Google, NetSuite, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Workday and other ‘pure play’ technologies.
“The addition of Cloud Sherpas to the Accenture Cloud First Applications team reinforces our position as a leading global provider of enterprise cloud services,” comments Paul Daugherty, Accenture’s Chief Technology Officer. “We welcome the extremely talented Cloud Sherpas specialists to Accenture, where together we are even better positioned to help clients move their businesses to the cloud and achieve significant business results faster than ever before.”
