Emer Jameson and Mary-Kate McGarry join Ashfield Advisory
Healthcare consulting business Ashfield Advisory has named two senior leadership appointments. Mary-Kate McGarry and Emer Jameson join the firm as Vice Presidents in its strategy and HR wings.
Part of UDG Healthcare, Ashfield is an integrated healthcare services partner, offering a breadth of services across strategic consulting, benchmarking, commercialisation, customer engagement, events, marketing and communications. It is comprised of three clearly defined, integrated business units which help redefine and deepen client partnerships, reimagine health and improve lives. The units are Ashfield Engage, Ashfield Health and Ashfield Advisory.
Mary-Kate McGarry joins in the new position of Vice President of Strategy with Ashfield Advisory. She will now take responsibility for driving all aspects of the Ashfield Advisory strategy and bringing initiatives to life. She will also work closely with the mergers and acquisitions team and will oversee the organisation’s change programme.
Reflecting on the move, McGarry noted, “Ashfield Advisory lends itself perfectly to future scale and diversification and I know the team has already seen significant appetite from existing customers. The desire to continue along the current trajectory is clear and I look forward to working alongside other members of the senior leadership team to advance the business even further.”
McGarry brings 15 years of experience in management consulting to the role, having most recently worked as Director, Head of People Consulting with EY. Prior to her seven-year stay with the Big Four firm, she also spent spells with Accenture as a Management Consultant, and Savills as an Economist.
Emer Jameson meanwhile steps into the role of Vice President of HR. She will provide HR leadership and insight for the firm’s advisory line, following a varied career in international HR and commercial roles.
She remarked, “I am delighted to join the team during this exciting time for both the business and the industry and I am very much looking forward to working with the Advisory team to shape the future HR organisation.”
Jameson has spent more than two decades in the professional services sector, having established Jameson Training in 1998 to provide customised sales training solutions to clients primarily within the Advertising sector. Later, she would hold senior roles in the HR industry, including working as ChinaHR.com’s Group CEO Asia, and spending two years as Digicel’s Group Chief People Officer in the Caribbean, Central America and Asia Pacific.
Both recruits will report to Ashfield Advisory Global President, Colin Stanley. Commenting on their arrivals, he said, “Mary-Kate and Emer join us at an exciting time for the business. Having depth and diversity of expertise and capabilities is exactly what Ashfield Advisory is designed to be and by adding Mary-Kate and Emer to our team we will continue to prosper in achieving our mission to empower critical decision making for our customers and change the healthcare industry for the better.”
Ashfield currently has a strong growth trajectory, and plans to accelerate this by continuing to recruit new talent, and further bolstering its headcount via acquisitions. In the US, this recently saw Ashfield Engage purchase Nuvera, a New Jersey-based pharmaceutical industry consulting firm specialising in patient support programmes.
