BDO expands footprint with member firm in Nicaragua
Professional services firm BDO has expanded its global network with a new member firm in Nicaragua. The firm, Borge Villavicencio & Compañía, has been rebranded BDO Nicaragua SA per September 1. By joining BDO’s network, the firm is expecting its recent stable growth to be accelerated, while BDO gains further access to the Middle American market.
Borge Villavicencio & Compañía is a small profession services firm located in Nicaragua. The firm has two partners and ten further staff members, providing services in audit, outsourcing, tax and legal, corporate finance, advisory and consulting, and information technology. The small firm has key expertise in the energy, natural resources and tourism sectors among others.
The membership status of Borge Villavicencio & Compañía to the BDO network will see the firm rebranded to BDO Nicaragua, and its two partners and ten staff retained. The new branding is expected to help fuel the firm’s regional development under the guidance of BDO Panama, which will facilitate the firm’s transition into the BDO network.
According to Borge Villavicencio & Compañía Managing Partner Samuel Borge, joining the BDO network will boost the services the firm provides to its clients. “As part of the growing BDO network, we will now have recourse to international expertise that will ensure we can deliver the necessary mix of professionalism and business knowledge on a global scale,” he says. “I would add that our firm’s values are an exact fit with BDO’s: our focus is always on our clients and ensuring levels of service that exceed their expectations.”
