Elixirr adds procurement consultancy Retearn to House of Brands
In its third acquisition since its inception, Elixirr has sealed a deal for Retearn, a boutique procurement, transformation and insights consultancy.
Announced on the day Elixirr unveiled its first set of annual financial results since going public (+24% growth and a significant growth in profit amid a global downturn), Retearn joins the firm’s House of Brands – a portfolio of boutique firms including Den Creative and Coast Digital that operate alongside the firm’s management consulting wing.
Founded in 2016, Retearn is a specialist procurement consultancy, focused on helping organisations with optimising their spend and working capital, and with transforming their procurement function. Recognised as one of UK’s Leading Management Consultants in operations & supply chain, Retearn has a team of around 45 consultants and staff operating from an office in London.
“We’re delighted to welcome Retearn to our House of Brands. The firm has an outstanding reputation in the market for identifying efficiencies, transforming operations and delivering significant cost savings for clients,” said Stephen Newton, Founder and CEO of Elixirr.
The move comes at a time of heightened demand for operational excellence services, as business leaders across sectors face a growing need to run efficient and agile operations. “Combining Retearn’s expertise in unlocking savings for businesses with Elixirr’s growth and innovation-led capabilities will enable our clients to accelerate investment into their biggest strategic initiatives,” added Newton.
The deal sees Retearn’s three founders – who previously all served in Capita’s transformation business – join Elixirr’s Partner team, while they continue to lead Retearn. “We were ready for our next phase of growth and Elixirr’s unique House of Brands offers the perfect platform for this,” said Retearn’s CEO Mark Wyllie.
“We can maintain the brand that’s made Retearn what it is today, whilst benefitting from the value and expertise of the collective. Meanwhile, being part of Elixirr is also a brilliant opportunity for our staff to further develop their skillsets and careers.”
Established in 2009, award-winning consultancy Elixirr – which brands itself as ‘The Challenger Consultancy’ to the MBB’s and larger generalists – has offices in the UK, the US, South Africa and Australia.
