Mark Hubbard joins Mazars as a Partner
International audit and advisory firm Mazars has appointed former EY professional Mark Hubbard as a Partner in its financial services tax team. Based in London, he brings two decades of experience to the role.

Mazars’ financial services tax practice helps clients in the financial services industry with matters including managing direct and indirect tax obligations and tax risks, navigating the complex tax rules across jurisdictions, pursuing tax incentives or concessions, dealing with transfer pricing issues, handling revenue queries, assessing tax provisions, and analysing uncertain tax positions.
As a Partner, Hubbard will lead the banking and capital markets (BCM) sub-sector in the tax team. There, he will support the continued growth of the financial services audit practice, as well as seek to deliver upon ambitious growth plans for the financial services tax advisory practice.
Hubbard will also provide strategic expertise to the team by delivering on recent client wins and work closely with the leadership team to develop the BCM tax advisory proposition.
He brings 24 years of corporate and international tax experience across Big Four advisory and global roles at a multinational bank. Having joined professional services giant EY as a graduate in 1996, he left in 2004 having risen to the rank of Senior Manager in International Tax. He then spent 11 years with Barclays, where he was latterly Global Head of Tax.
During a career break from 2017 to 2021, he also provided independent advisory support to SME businesses and voluntary support to educational and mental health charities.
