Plural Strategy has promoted one of its members of its founding group – Jonathan Dufton – to partner. He becomes the firm’s fifth partner.

Established in 2014, Plural Strategy is a strategic consultancy specialised in helping corporates and private equity investors in the events, media, information & technology, agribusiness and industrial technology sectors. The firm has grown to a team of around 40 consultants working from offices in London and New York.

When Plural Strategy founder and chief executive Jim Easton left AMR International seven years ago (he was AMR’s CEO), he took along a number of experienced consultants with him to Plural Strategy, including current partners Phil Stone and Matthew Vellacott, as well as Jonathan Dufton. Having started his spell at Plural Strategy as an associate director, Dufton has since grown to director and now partner.

“It is very exciting to be announcing Jonathan’s promotion to Partner,” said Plural Strategy CEO Jim Easton. “Our success has been a true team effort and Jonathan has been at the heart of it all. His excellent work and commitment continues to have a significant impact on our clients and across the business.”

“Jonathan has been integral to its growth and success, helping build Plural Strategy’s team, capability, and growing reputation across the information industries, spanning the media, information, marketing, technology and events sectors.”

Dufton’s track record includes advising corporate and private equity clients on performance improvement, growth, mergers & acquisitions (commercial due diligence / post-merger integration) and corporate strategy in information, media, marketing, software and technology

“I am honoured to be appointed Partner. Plural has always been a collaborative and collegiate environment, and I am grateful to the whole team who have helped me deliver exceptional client work, supported my own professional development, and made Plural a better place to work,” said Dufton on his promotion.

As part of his new role, Dufton has been installed as leader of Plural Strategy’s Media, Marketing and Information practice.
