Be Group purchases IT consulting firm in Switzerland

Be Group, a pan-European management and IT consultancy, has expanded its footprint into Switzerland with the acquisition of OSS Unternehmensberatung, for a reported fee of €200,000.

Founded in 2001 by Gerhard Hoffmann, OSS Unternehmensberatung is an IT consulting firm that provides a range of advisory, technology and cloud services to the financial services industry. Last year the company, based in the Zurich area, booked a revenue of roughly €700,000, and an EBITDA of €82,000.

With around 1,000 employees in Italy, the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Romania, Poland and the Ukraine, the Be Group is one of the larger management and IT consulting firms. The company operates with a range of business units, including iBe (the management consultancy unit), BE Solutions and B.E.E. NewTech.

In line with the firm’s 2015-2017 pan-European growth strategy, which aims at creating one of the leading players to the financial services industry, the Be Group has decided to acquire OSS Unternehmensberatung. “Although OSS is not a large player, this acquisition allows us to consolidate our presence in one of the most important European markets for financial services,” says Andrea Angrisani, responsible for the DACH Region at the Be Group. “For this reason, the acquisition of OSS – which is a listed supplier of some primary Swiss financial players – will accelerate our growth in that specific market,” he adds.

In a press release, the partners have unveiled that the purchase price has been set at just above €200,000. OSS will be merged with the existing subsidiary of the Be Group in Switzerland to create Be TSE Switzerland.
