Aidan Joy joins The Carnrite Group as a Director in London

The Carnrite Group has appointed Aidan Joy as a Director in its London team. Joy will serve as the Energy Transition Lead going forward, as the firm continues to expand its services from its offices in the US and the UK.

Founded in 1991, the Carnrite Group is a management consulting firm focused on the energy and industrials sectors. Headquartered in Houston, Texas, the firm has since expanded across the Atlantic to found a growing presence in London too, deploying expertise on projects around the world. The firm specialises in advising companies through transformation and complex changes in both market up-cycles and down-cycles.

As the firm prepares to further grow its services in the UK, Carnrite has appointed Aidan Joy as a Director. The seasoned professional brings 40 years of energy and consulting industry experience to the role, leading the company’s energy transition wing.

Though the past few years have been dedicated to projects related to the Energy Transition, Aidan From 2007-12 Aidan represented Apache on the Board of Directors of APPEA, the Australian Petroleum Production & Exploration Association. Aidan currently co-chairs the Energy Transition Special Interest Group at the Petroleum Exploration Society of Great Britain (PESGB).

Most recently, Joy has focused his skills on energy transition work, holding senior roles with the Petroleum Exploration Society of Great Britain and Suilven Energy, he commenced his career working as a geologist during the growth years of the North Sea oil industry, mainly in the UK sector. In the early 2000's he moved to the business development, commercial and finance side of the business, and from 2004 to 2019 he was based first in Perth, Australia, then in Calgary, Canada.
