Boutique consultancy firm Acumen has managed to significantly grow its team over the past 12 months, despite the Covid-19-induced downturn.

Founded in 2006 in London, Acumen is a firm specialised in revenue management. The consulting firm helps mainly companies in the fast moving consumer goods space with making “smarter and more profitable decisions through a combination of pricing, promotions, and mix management,” explained the firm’s Chief Commercial Officer, Nick Ryan.

In 2020, the firm has gone from strength to strength, landing a host of new clients – Acumen helps them optimise their pricing mix to navigate pressures on pricing (or capitalise on the upside), as well as develop pricing strategies for new services/products.

Acumen grows its consulting team in the UK and APACThis has seen Acumen expand its consulting team by a total of seven new consultants over the past 12 months, including Philipp Neubauer, Grace Falkiner and Tom Sanders who joined as Senior Consultants. Sanders comes with extensive FMCG and consulting experience gained from his previous roles at Nielsen in Ireland and before that, Warbutons.

Falkiner meanwhile brings vast experience, most recently from her five years at Monitor Deloitte, working in both Australia and the Netherlands. Neubauer joins the APAC team in Singapore from Shiseido Travel Retail where he worked as the Change Management lead for various SAP implementation projects.

Meanwhile, Zinnia Woolliams and Katie Kohn both joined as Analysts, while Caprice Brookes took on the role of Junior Analyst. Leo Davies joined the team as a Technical Analyst.

Commenting on the expansion, Acumen’s Chief Product Officer Matt Wills said, “We take great pride in being able to expand the team during such turbulent times and are pleased to welcome such a fantastic array of consulting experience and energy to the team, I look forward to seeing how they help our client’s revenue management journeys in 2021.”

Alongside offering consulting services, Acumen also provides a number of proprietary pricing and promotions solutions. The firm has around 40 staff working from offices in London and Singapore.
