Seasoned advisors join Board of energy specialist Cornwall Insight

Cornwall Insight, a research and insights consultancy for the energy and oil & gas sectors, has strengthened its Group Board with the addition of Kate Broughton and Steve Jennings as Non-Executive Directors, and Claire Skinner as a Special Advisor. All three brings extensive experience in the professional services industry to the firm.

Headquartered in Norwich, Cornwall Insight specialises in helping businesses, government policymakers and investors with their energy strategies and transitions. The 80-strong specialist consulting firm provides consultancy, market intelligence and training services from its offices in the UK and Australia. 

As part of its growth ambitions, the consulting firm has added three seasoned external experts to its Board. They will work in tandem with the Group Board and private equity firm BGF (which invested in the company in November 2017) on the firm’s strategic and governance-related topics.

Seasoned advisors join Board of energy specialist Cornwall InsightSteve Jennings is an experienced management consultant and Board advisor who specialises in the energy and utilities industry. Currently, he is a strategic advisor to PwC and as a former partner, he led PwC's Energy & Utilities practice for ten years. Jennings will advise on the development of Cornwall Insight's proposition generally and consulting specifically.

Kate Broughton has held several senior roles at global energy consultancy Wood Mackenzie focussed on research. She helped develop world-leading digital products and research services and headed up the global research operations function. At Cornwall Insight, Broughton will help the firm advance its commercial intelligence for the energy sector.

Claire Skinner is currently the Europe & Africa region leader of Heidrick & Struggles. She has more than 20 years of experience building executive and non-executive teams for a wide range of clients involved in energy, utilities, clean technology, and sustainability.

As a Special Advisor, she brings a large network of talent and human capital expertise to the firm. Skinner also is an expert in integrating ESG into Board agenda's.
