IT consultancy Iridium announces two new hires
Iridium has named two new members of its team. The UK based consultancy has appointed Jashan Patel as a Consultant focusing on talent solutions, and Lauren Pickin in an operation support role.
Despite a tough 12 months for the industry, consulting leaders expect the industry to continue to grow in areas where the pandemic has ramped up demand from clients. Alongside restructuring, the greatest area of growth in the industry is digital technology project work, highlighting the critical importance of the sector in the economic recovery and urgent digital transformation of UK businesses, both during and after the lockdown months.
Based in Leeds, Iridium is a boutique digital transformation consultancy, whose team combines over 40 years of experience across business transformation and cyber security. In the last six months, the consultancy has reportedly enjoyed a 50% expansion of its client base, driven by the need for IT services in support of remote working. As the firm looks to prepare for a busy 2021, Iridium has announced the appointment of two new team members.
Ben Dainton, co-founder and Chairman at Iridium, said, “It’s been a challenging time for the IT industry. However, we’re seeing confidence return, with clients taking incremental steps in recommencing programmes of work. Our flexible approach is exactly what’s needed for the current climate. It allows clients to reduce risk, save money, tap into a wider talent pool and enables them, like us, to remain agile. We believe this is the future of business and IT transformation, and our team is only too happy to support this.”
Jashan Patel has been installed as a Consultant, and will now be responsible for forging relationships with, and recruiting, industry-leading candidates for clients such as Jaja, TransUnion and Vanquis Bank. Tapping into his strong background in IT talent acquisition – having spent the last four years with global STEM recruitment firm Real Staffing – he will develop talent pipelines and match the ideal consultants with Iridium’s client’s role requirements.
Patel stated, “I’m thrilled to be joining the team at Iridium, a consultancy that’s been on my radar for quite some time due to its refreshing, relevant approach. Its reputation for working with top quality people and clients is what initially attracted me to the role, and the team’s commitment to helping clients truly transform is second-to-none. I’m excited to be a part of the business’s next phase of growth.”
Lauren Pickin meanwhile arrives in an operations support role. With a background in education and teaching, a release from the firm stated that she had impressed the senior team at Iridium with her attention to detail and transferable skills. Both new recruits were successfully interviewed and onboarded via Microsoft Teams, and will now work remotely, in line with government guidelines, falling into step with the way the majority of the industry is currently operating.
