Corporate finance firm Capitalmind has expanded into Denmark. To lead the operations the business advisory has hired Stig Madsen Lachenmeier, a former partner at Deloitte Corporate Finance.

With a team of nearly 30 professionals, Capitalmind is a boutique player in the Western European corporate finance and M&A landscape. The firm was founded in 2014 following the merger between Capital Partner in France and BlueMind in The Netherlands. Capitalmind currently has four offices across its two home-bases: Paris and Lyon in France, and ’s-Hertogenbosch and Hilversum in the Netherlands.

Through its alliance with Mergers Alliance – an M&A network with more than 350 professionals worldwide – Capitalmind to date has been able to cover the Scandinavian region. With the market, and resulting client demand, on the rise, the consultancy has now decided to intensify its presence in Denmark with the launch of an on-the ground operation. The team is based in the Copenhagen area, and is led by Stig Madsen Lachenmeier, a veteran in the corporate finance arena. Throughout his career, Lachenmeier has been involved in more than 100 Danish and international transactions, providing both buy-side as well as sell-side advice. He also has experience with among others capital funding engagements, IPO’s and valuations.

Over the past 15 years Lachenmeier served at Deloitte, in his last role acting as a Partner in the Big Four’s Corporate Finance practice, and at Advizer, a Danish M&A specialist that in June last year merged with UK-based Clearwater International. “Stig has advised clients in many different sectors (e.g. TMT, business services, renewables and manufacturing) and has special expertise when it comes to international transactions and private equity,” comments Capitalmind.
