BCI location analysis helps EnVivo open office in Leiden
The U.S. biotechnology company EnVivo Pharmaceuticals is going to establish its European headquarters in Leiden's Bio Science Park. The decision for Leiden followed an extensive analysis of potential sites to house's European operations. The location analysis was performed by the Dutch consulting firm Buck Consultants International. The fledgling company has a promising pipeline of drugs for diseases of the central nervous system.
Location analyses
Buck Consultants International compared many European locations on knowledge-work related factors, real estate, immigration rules and the future situation for American expatriates. The company chose Leiden and more specifically the Leiden Bio Science Park. Kees Been, CEO of EnVivo Pharmaceuticals welcomes the new location. "We are looking forward to start here, in parallel with the progress of the development of our nervous system therapies".

In addition to the many benefits of the Leiden Bio Science Park, the close proximity of Schiphol Airport was one of the decisive factors. Mayor of Leiden, Henri Lenferink is proud "We are convinced that this is a great decision for EnVivo our Bio Science Park and the city of Leiden. I am convinced that EnVivo has a bright future here".
