With many firms unable to accommodate the traditional Christmas party amid the continuing pandemic, RADA Business has launched a unique service to help employees celebrate the festive period from home. The One Voice: Virtual offering will allow participants to join a collaborative singing workshop remotely.

For employees, after a busy year the Christmas period is a chance to celebrate the achievements of their hard work, and let their hair down over the festive season. This year, however, the continued coronavirus crisis means that many people face spending December in isolation.

In order to help staff combat the Holiday blues this Christmas, RADA Business has launched One Voice: Virtual, with the aim of helping business professionals enjoy a fun and collaborative singing workshop this party season. According to the firm, the 90-minute online singing workshop will guide colleagues through a song of their choice, helping to create a unique virtual choir experience.

RADA Business is the commercial advisory arm of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, working to help people at work become better communicators. Since 2001 it has worked with some of the world’s best-known employers in more than 30 countries, including law firms, retailers, media companies, universities and governments, building on the work of one of the world’s most respected drama schools to deliver world-class training programmes and coaching for organisations and individuals.

One Voice: Virtual will put this expertise to use to coach business professionals with the learning and performance of a piece of uplifting music, presenting the ideal opportunity for remote colleagues to bond and build their confidence through the art of music. RADA Business’ expert guidance and tuition will be at the forefront of this workshop, with proceedings being led by RADA’s Singing Coach, Tom Wakeley, who will teach attendees how to begin to master perfect pitch and volume, tune and harmony.

Wakeley commented, “Even though 2020 has been a very different year for all of us, One Voice: Virtual is the perfect chance for professionals to push themselves outside of their comfort zone and bond with their colleagues in a fun workshop like no other… You don't need any previous singing experience to take part. The group sense of achievement after the song is performed is enormous and encourages a 'can do' and supportive attitude back in the workplace. It’s a perfect choice as we look towards welcoming 2021, as well as a fantastic choice for teambuilding all year round.’’
