National Trust collaborates with Atos to boost supporter experience
Europe’s largest conservation charity has selected consultancy Atos to digitally reconfigure its membership and fundraising activities. The partnership will ultimately deliver an improved supporter experience for the National Trust’s millions of members.
The National Trust is a charity and membership organisation for heritage conservation in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The trust has an annual income of over £630 million, largely from membership subscriptions, donations and legacies, investments, entrance fees to properties, and profits from its shops and restaurants. As such, offering a high quality service to its 5.6 million members is vital to sustaining the organisation’s future.
In order to facilitate and encourage on-going engagement – reducing time-to-market for new and bespoke member offers or offering donation flexibility – the trust is undergoing a digital transformation project to help manage the demands of a growing supporter base. Digital transformation specialist Atos has been selected by Europe’s largest conservation charity as its preferred partner to oversee the reconfiguration of its membership and fundraising activities.
Jon Townsend, Chief Information Officer, National Trust, said, “As part of our long term-vision to enhance supporter engagement and experience, we are pleased to partner with Atos to integrate business processes which support our digital transformation while reducing our energy footprint. This will improve agility across our technology estate and will ultimately support the conservation of heritage sites across the UK.”
In the conservation charity’s 125th year, Atos will look to implement a supporter engagement platform built on the Salesforce Lightning framework and using both Salesforce modules and independent apps. Atos will integrate these technical building blocks within National Trust’s existing technology estate, to migrate supporter and peripheral dataset from existing systems to the new scalable Salesforce platform, using both Salesforce modules and independent apps. This will also boost the workplace experience offered by the trust, as well as reducing its carbon footprint.
Jean-Philippe Poirault, Head of Telecoms, Media & Technology, Atos, commented, “We are pleased to support the National Trust in its ambition to deliver a step-change in user experience and drive supporter growth through our mix of innovative solutions, proven track record and experience in Salesforce implementation which will drive engagement among the charity’s many members and supporters and unlock future growth opportunities.”
International IT services firm Atos specialises in business technology and digital transformation, and has worked regularly with clients to help them leverage new innovations in order to boost their business outcomes. Recently this has seen the firm win a string of contracts, including one with innocent drinks to deliver an end-to-end technology solution for the company’s first carbon neutral factory in the Port of Rotterdam.
