Alvarez & Marsal partner Ajay Rawal moves to EY TAS

EY has boosted its EMEIA Financial Services Transactions advisory business with the appointment of Ajay Rawal as Partner. Rawal’s experience in the banking industry will, according to EY, help guide the market “into more stable times.”

Ajay Rawal joins EY from Alvarez & Marsal, where he was a Partner in the Financial Services Group and acted as Managing Director for more than six years. Between 2006 and 2009 he worked for HBOS Mortgages, first as Support for the Retail CEO and Retail Board and later as Head of Retention and Secured Lending. Rawal started his career as a Case Manager for CVA, a strategy consulting firm in financial services, energy and automotive sectors, a role he held for almost seven years.

Rawal holds a Bachelor degree in Law from the University of Oxford.

Rawal will leverage his 15 years of experience in financial services and his specialism in transactions and restructuring within the banking sector for his new job at EY. “We are thrilled to have Ajay join the transaction practice,” comments David Barker, EMEIA Head of Financial Services Transaction Advisory Services. “At a time when there is so much uncertainty and change in the banking sector across the Eurozone, it is fundamental that we have skilled and experienced individuals like Ajay to help guide the market into more stable times.”
