Ricardo-AEA rebrands as Ricardo Energy & Environment

UK-based consulting firm Ricardo-AEA has rebranded as Ricardo Energy & Environment. The new brand, according to the firm, better demonstrates the technical leadership it can offer its clients within the fields of energy and environment.

Ricardo-AEA is a UK-based international energy and environmental consulting firm that was established in 2012, when technical advisory firm Ricardo acquired AEA Europe, the largest British specialised environmental consulting firm. Ricardo-AEA provides governments, public agencies and businesses with analysis, advice and data to help solve some of the world’s most complex environmental challenges.

Almost three years after the firm joined the Ricardo group of companies, Ricardo-AEA  decided to rebrand its name to Ricardo Energy & Environment as of 1 September 2015. “The new brand better demonstrates the technical leadership it can offer clients within the fields of energy and environment, but also the skills and capabilities available from across the Ricardo Group,” the firm explains.

The rebranding, which is part of Ricardo’s wider strategy that focuses on “solving future challenges in transportation, energy, scarce resources and waste”, will not have any influence on the services offered by the consultancy, but represents the closer ties within the group.

This is why we have seen many positive developments since AEA Technology was acquired by Ricardo in 2012, expanding our offering around the world. The update to our brand name marks the next step in our evolution.”
