JDX Consulting names Seamus Smith as CEO
Global financial services firm JDX Consulting has announced that Seamus Smith will join the firm as Chief Executive Officer. Effective 21st September, he will take overall responsibility for leading the continued growth and development of the global JDX business.
Commenting on his new role based in London, Seamus Smith said, "I'm delighted to be joining JDX at such an exciting time in the company's development. JDX has established an enviable reputation as a 'client first' business, and has a breadth of talent, skills, and industry knowledge with which to develop further. With the rapid pace of change in regulation, technology, and business models within the financial services sector, JDX is well placed to be a market leader for strategic, technology and operational consulting services globally."
Smith brings a wealth of financial services and technology experience to the role of CEO, having most recently worked at UK listed technology business Sage Group. Over five years there, he held the roles of CEO of Sage Pay, and Executive Vice President Global Payments and Banking. His prior appointments include Managing Director of PayPoint, Vice President & General Manager for Europe, Middle East & Africa at American Express and senior roles at GE Capital.
JDX Chairman Tom Binks said, "We're delighted to be able to welcome Seamus to the business as CEO. He brings financial services, technology, and leadership experience to our already strong and capable senior team. His appointment represents another major investment in the future success of JDX, which will benefit our customers, colleagues and shareholders."
Independent professional services firm JDX was formed in 2012, with its founders emphasising their belief that their clients required a partner that is outcomes-focused and values-led. In 2018, the firm fused four of its businesses to forge a consulting company of more than 600 employees – something which boosted its annual growth to 47%, and saw it lauded by the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 listing in 2019.
The financial services consulting firm continued to build its capabilities earlier in 2020, announcing a new global strategic partnership with Seal Software, a specialist in enterprise contract analytics. The firm also welcomed former Cognizant Managing Partner Bob Clare as Head of US Consulting Services Sales, as JDX pursued its growth strategy to expand and geographically diversify its client base.
