Signal AI appoints former KPMG Chairman Simon Collins
Former KPMG chairman Simon Collins has joined the advisory board of UK artificial intelligence company Signal AI. He will now work to help drive the company’s engagement within the private and public sector, and provide counsel as the company expands into new markets.
Speaking of the appointment, David Benigson, CEO Signal AI said, “Simon has already provided deep understanding into Signal AI, his wisdom and oversight on some key areas has been invaluable and I am really pleased he has agreed to join our advisory board.”
Signal AI is a fast growing UK artificial intelligence company creating pioneering AI solutions to help clients with their decision making, allowing organisations to track defined challenges in real time. From competitive landscape and changes to regulation, to monitoring reputation or supply chain, the firm’s platform gathers relevant data and applies its proprietary machine learning analysis, in turn making faster, more accurate decisions possible.
Having commenced his career at PwC, Collins joined Natwest Markets in 1991, and became Global Head of Debt Structuring and Private Placements before his exit seven years later. He then spent 19 years with Big Four firm KPMG, taking on roles as Global Head of Transactions and Restructuring, Chairman and Senior Partner during his stay with the firm.
Since leaving KPMG in 2017, Collins has taken on a number of new projects – including becoming Chairman of global technology firm Decoded, and a Non-Executive Director with the Royal Air Force. He is also a Co-Founder of Gold Collins Associates, an advisory firm aimed at helping leaders and organisations navigate stressful environments.
Collins’ role on Signal AI’s advisory board will help drive the fast growing AI company’s engagement within the private and public sector. He will also provide counsel as the company expands into new markets.
Commenting on his new challenge, Collins said, “Signal AI is one of the leading companies driving AI innovation in the UK and globally. I see the emergence of AI as one of the most exciting and significant technological developments of our time and look forward to helping guide Signal AI as they realise their vision.”
