Gavin Helmer joins Hansuke Consulting as Senior Principal

Gavin Helmer has been appointed Senior Principal at Hansuke Consulting. He previously served as the Managing Director in the tax department at Credit Suisse and has held a number of senior management roles within the tax department at Standard Bank, UBS and Barclays.

In his new role as Senior Principal, Helmer will help the firm with its provision of tax consulting services. Bringing with him a wealth of expertise, Helmer was most recently Managing Director of Credit Suisse’s tax department. There, he was responsible for the compliance oversight on all aspects of the client tax risk agenda.

Earlier in his 25-year career in financial services, the Chartered Accountant served as a Tax Partner with PwC in the Big Four firm’s Singapore office. He has also held a variety of senior management roles in tax departments in a number of leading banks, including Standard Bank, UBS and Barclays.

The news comes months after John Buckeridge was appointed as a Senior Consultant with Hansuke. Previously Buckeridge worked as a Consultant at law firm Eversheds Sutherland, and also spent 14 years at HMRC as a Policy and Technical Adviser.
