Brian Kalms joins AlixPartners as Managing Director
Global consulting firm AlixPartners has announced that Brian Kalms has joined as a Managing Director. He joins having spent three decades in the consulting industry, spending extended spells with Accenture and Elixirr in that time.
“Brian’s extensive digital transformation expertise, combined with deep knowledge of the retail and consumer sectors, will help our clients realize strategic advantages in a significantly disrupted sector,” said Simon Freakley, CEO of AlixPartners. “Brian’s hands-on leadership style and experience helping businesses transform to meet their most complex challenges will enhance our overall business transformation capabilities.”
Kalms, who will be based in London, brings to AlixPartners more than 30 years of experience in management consulting and technology strategy to the firm. He will focus on helping retail clients achieve business transformation through strategic technology innovation.Starting his consulting career with Accenture in 1987, Kalms became a Managing Partner at the firm and led its UK retail practice, as well as the European supermarket team. During his time with Accenture, he had a particular focus on project and programme leadership on large change projects. In 2012, however, he opted to join Elixirr – a challenger consultancy founded by former Accenture employees three years earlier. As Partner there, Kalms continued his particular focus on retail and related industries as the Lead Partner for retail and consumer, helping build the firm’s retail practice.
