Bain & Company promotes six to partner in London
Global strategy consulting firm Bain & Company has promoted six of its senior advisors to partner in its UK office. The move comes as part of its global elevation of 45 individuals from 27 offices the in first half of 2020.
A statement from Bain read, “We are pleased to announce the newest members of our global partnership. These individuals have been promoted to partner, effective from July 2020. We welcome these talented individuals to our leadership team and celebrate their client results as well as their commitment to the values of our firm. Thirteen of our most recent promotions to partner are women and our newest partner class represents 27 of our global offices. We wish all our new partners continued success as they assume their new leadership responsibilities.”
Alex Martynov is part of Bain’s oil and gas and digital practices. He has significant international consulting experience, having led client engagements in the Middle East, Moscow, London, Vienna and Madrid. He advises clients across industries, including energy, aircraft manufacturing, diamond mining and consumer products, on issues such as corporate, technology and digital strategy, operations, due diligence, merger integration and operating model development. Priot to joining Bain, Martynov spent a number of years working for Amazon in San Francisco and Seattle, helping to launch the Amazon Web Services division.
Philip Deitemeyer is a member of the Bain’s financial services practice, and has led multiple full potential and growth strategy projects both in the United Kingdom and in Australia/New Zealand. He predominantly spends his time focused on payments, but has led engagements in banking, P&C insurance and wealth management. Prior to joining Bain, he served as an Armor and Military Intelligence Officer in the United States Army.
Romain Deleforge joined Bain in 2010, and specialises in private equity, providing clients with services relating to integrated diligence and post-acquisition, consumer goods, retail, consumer health. Prior to his time with Bain, he spent time in the French Air Force as an Officer. He is currently an Investor with The Good Trends in New York.
Ed Stone has been with Bain’s London office for a total of 12 years, specialising in due diligence work. In his time there, he has led teams of consultants to provide advice to private equity houses, conducting due diligence for major investments including a leading automotive testing ground; a leading European PVC windows manufacturer; a global sports firm; and a voting software developer. He also spent spells seconded as an Executive Officer with Lotus Cars and as a Business Development Executive with Rolls Royce.
James Gillies joined Bain as an Associate Consultant in 2011. By the start of 2019, he had been named a Principal, specialising in private equity and strategy consulting. Gillies is also a Doctor of Philosophy in Zoology, having graduated from Oxford University in 2010.
Subash Viroomal is a leader in the firm’s Public Sector & Government and Advanced Manufacturing & Services practices, with 10 years of consulting experience. Throughout his consulting career, he has helped public and private sector organisations across EMEA deliver multiple transformation projects and achieve their economic and social goals. Before joining Bain, Viroomal worked at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and the Social Market Foundation think tank in Westminster.
