Create Engage launches podcast with CF co-founder Hannah Farrar
Create Engage, a digital marketing agency for the professional services industry, has released the latest episode of its well-known ‘Climb In Consulting’ podcast.
In the latest episode, podcast host Nick Synnott – a former consultant himself – speaks with Hannah Farrar, Chief Executive of Carnall Farrar, a specialist management consultancy dedicated to the healthcare industry.
Carnall Farrar (CF) helps the NHS and other healthcare institutions with strategy, performance improvement, finance transformation, the delivery of integrated care, patient experience and clinical services, among others.
Having worked as Director of Strategy, Commissioning and Provider Development at the NHS, Hannah co-founded Carnall Farrar in 2013 with Ruth Carnall, and under their leadership the consultancy has grown to a team of around 40 consultants and staff. The firm’s brings a multi-disciplinary approach combining a wealth of experience from across the healthcare sector and various leading consultancy firms.
In the Climb In Consulting podcast, Nick and Hannah discuss a wide range of topics including:
- Why and how Hannah made the leap from a successful career in the NHS to launch Carnall Farrar and her key lessons for anyone thinking of doing the same.
- Hannah’s candidate experience of growing a business as a working mother and her advice for other parents out there, on how to achieve the often-difficult balance of creating both a successful career and a successful home life.
- And the unique obstacles that women face in the consulting sector and Hannah’s take on what the industry needs to do to overcome them; both for junior consultants climbing the ranks as well as for senior leaders running their own consulting firms.
Commenting on the latest episode, Nick said: “I really enjoyed this conversation with Hannah, she’s an inspiring leader in our industry and it was great to get the chance to sit down with her to talk about her journey. As we recorded this earlier in the year, Covid-19 is actually the one topic we don’t speak about, but as I know many people are getting tired of hearing about it I’m sure that’ll be music to your ears.”
“That said, given the current environment, we couldn’t be releasing this interview with Hannah at a more appropriate time and it was fantastic to get her perspective from being on the front line of change and transformation in healthcare.”
“If you’re a working parent yourself, thinking of moving into healthcare, or considering starting up your own consulting business as a result of the current economic situation then this episode is a must-listen.”
