Amoria Bond appoints new Chairman and Non-Executive Advisor
UK-based recruitment consultancy Amoria Bond has announced the appointment of former SThree CEO, Gary Elden, as its new Chairman. David Etherington meanwhile arrives at Amoria Bond as a Non-Executive Advisor.
Amid the rapidly changing field of recruitment, demand is high for consultancies which can help firms find the right talent for vacancies. Established in 2006, Amoria Bond provides recruitment consultancy services to both employers and working professionals. The firm currently trades in over 40 countries from international operations in the UK, the Netherlands, Germany and Singapore. The consultancy specialises providing services to the engineering, technology, SAP, life sciences, energy and financial sectors.
As Amoria Bond looks to meet the changing needs of its clients, it has confirmed a dual appointment to its Board. David Etherington has joined Amoria Bond as a Non-Executive Advisor, while Gary Elden has been installed as the company’s new Chairman.
Elden brings over 29 years of experience in the staffing industry, having spent the largest chunk of his career with staffing organisation SThree. Elden spent time as the firm’s Chief Strategy Officer, executing strategic initiatives to further advance SThree’s international growth and position it as a world leading specialist staffing business, before being appointed CEO in 2013. He stepped down in early 2019.
Commenting on his new role, Elden said, “I’ve been watching the rise of Amoria Bond with interest over the last few years, and have been really impressed by their success in establishing themselves as an international industry leader in specialist recruitment consultancy services. I look forward to working with the Board as Chairman to help them take the business through the next stages of growth.”
Ian Cross, Managing Director of Amoria Bond added, “We are delighted to welcome Gary to his new position as Chairman of the Amoria Bond Board. His plethora of experience in strategy and governance will perfectly complement and strengthen our Executive-Board and business capabilities. I am excited by the perspectives and impact he will bring as Amoria Bond continues on our strategic journey of international growth and profitability.”
David Etherington meanwhile arrives at Amoria Bond having worked within the staffing industry for over 25 years. Etherington will remain Chief Operating Officer & Managing Partner with talent organisation Triage, as well as Managing Partner of consultancy Saltwater, alongside his new role. Working with the Amoria Bond Board as an operating partner, Etherington will now build upon the Leadership Coaching and Development consultancy he has been delivering to the company via Saltwater.
