New Global Lead Growth & Advisory for Grant Thornton
Paul Raleigh, long time veteran at Grant Thornton, has recently been appointed Global Leader for Growth and Advisory services at Grant Thornton International.With experience as CEO of Grant Thornton Ireland behind him, Raleigh’s new responsibilities will see him help Grant Thornton member firms in more than 130 countries with advisory leadership and M&A.
Paul Raleigh has a long history at Grant Thornton, joining the firm in 1983 before being promoted to partner in 1990. In 1997 Raleigh took on the role of Head of the firm’s Corporate Services practice and in 2003, was named Ireland’s Managing Partner and had a seat on the Board of Governors of Grant Thornton International. In 2012, Raleigh took on the role of Global Leader in the Strategic Growth and Development practice of the firm. In his roles, Raleigh focused on leadership development and developed a tailor made programme to train Grant Thornton’s senior leaders in partnership with Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford. Besides leadership work, Raleigh works in tax, mergers and acquisitions, organisational structure, governance and practice management and global corporate social responsibility strategy.
Raleigh holds a Masters in Science in Management from Trinity College Dublin, is a Qualified Financial Advisor, In addition, he is a fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and a member of both the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the Institute of Management Consultants in Ireland (IMCI).
As the new Global Leader for Growth and Advisory services at Grant Thornton International, Raleigh will leverage his skills to help firms expand through mergers and acquisitions as well as leadership development.
