Conchur Gill and Katia Andropova join consulting firm Be
Business and technology consulting firm Be | Shaping the Future has added two new consultants to its team in London. Conchur Gill and Katia Andropova join the financial services advisory firm as Associate Partner and Senior Manager, respectively.
Be | Shaping the Future is an international business and technology consulting firm. The company currently has over 1,600 consultants and offices across Europe in Italy, United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Romania, Poland and Ukraine. As the firm looks to grow its profile in Britain, Be has made two senior appointments to its UK team.
Conchur Gill joins Be as an Associate Partner. Prior to joining Be, Gill spent 10 years at payments strategy consulting firm Edgar, Dunn and Company, where he was instrumental in the development of TROY and MEEZA, the domestic card networks in Turkey and Egypt, respectively. He has also advised the majority of the largest global card networks, and many of the largest issuing and acquiring banks in Europe and the Middle East. He has strategy experience across the payments ecosystem, advising issuing and acquiring banks and global merchants on commercial and business strategy.
Gill said, “I am delighted to join Be at this important stage in the company’s growth. Given the firm’s strong international presence and existing payments capability, it is a great fit for the goals that I seek to achieve. The electronic payments market is undergoing a period of unprecedented change. Payments infrastructure throughout the market must be developed to meet the demands of this change and deliver continued growth. Card networks, processors and banks constitute the national and international payments infrastructure that deliver payments to consumers, businesses and merchants.”
Katia Andropova joins Be as Senior Manager, bringing over 15 years’ experience to the role. Prior to joining, Andropova led and successfully delivered a global multi-year business transformation programme for Nomura to overhaul its credit limit management framework and re-platform credit risk IT applications. She has worked with clients including Lloyds Banking Group, BNP Paribas and Citi, advising major global investment banks and financial services institutions on how to improve risk management processes and ensure compliance with regulatory changes.
Andropova commented, “I’m looking forward to building out our capital markets capability in the UK to compliment Be’s track record in other European markets including Germany and Italy. My focus will be on supporting our clients across risk and finance transformation programmes.”
Speaking on both hires, Chris Cardwell, Be’s UK CEO added, “We are thrilled to have Conchur and Katia as part of the UK team. Their expertise and knowledge of the market adds tremendous weight to the subject matter expertise we bring to our clients.”
